Dan evaluates and treats people with health problems resulting from injury or disease. He assesses joint motion, muscle strength and endurance, the function of heart and lungs, and performance of activities required in daily living, among other responsibilities. Treatment includes therapeutic exercises, cardiovascular endurance training, and training in activities of daily living. He treats disease, injury, or loss of a bodily part by physical means, such as the application of light, heat, cold, electricity, massage, and exercise.

He develops treatment plans based upon each patient’s strengths, weaknesses, range of motion, and ability to function. Dan is in a health care field concerned primarily with the treatment of disorders with physical agents and methods, such as massage, manipulation, therapeutic exercises, cold, heat (including short-wave, microwave, and ultrasonic diathermy), electric stimulation, and light to assist in rehabilitating patients and in restoring normal function after an illness or injury.

Dan received his Masters in Science, Physical Therapy at Florida Gulf Coast University. He did his clinicals at Gulf Coast Hospital and Fawcett Memorial Hospital.

Dan was born, raised, and still has family in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area. He and his wife and children enjoy going out on the water, participating in local events and volunteering in our community.

Dan is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and has been practicing physical therapy since 2004.
